The Academy started in 2006 as an idea of Air Commodore Emmanuel K. Jekada (rtd) Fss, Dss, Psc, mni, Ph. D who holds education so dearly in his heart and therefore thought of leaving a legacy by starting a Christian Co- Education boarding science school to serve for two purposes:
(i). To immortalize his late father, Thaddeus Jekada Kpangang who served his community, Madakiya as the village chief (Sarkin Madakiya) from 1945- 1995.
(ii). To contribute his own quota in promoting education in his community, State and the country at large. This idea was further motivated by the continued falling standard of education, moral and spiritual spheres in many public schools in the State and the country. The desire therefore was to set-up an alternative to those falling standards particularly for children of the community and those of the State and the country in general. It was to commence at primary school level first, but the clamor for a standard post primary school around his community encouraged him to incorporate a secondary school section to this ideology.
The school also serve as a means to offer scholarship for the less privilege in the community who are now in better position and are given back their quota to the society at large.
